@TheNewsOwl response to 1st article, aza has had a wheat/gluten/yeast intolerance for 40 yrs.
substitutes are problematic for many reasons, some not mentioned in the article. the recent inclusion of synthetic gums to so many products without long term testing in humans is the most recent biggy. these gums are also added to pet foods. they give her the poops. we eat very simply without a lot of processed stuff.
just takes wanting to be healthy more than succumbing to advertizing.
