if you feed hummingbirds, important public service announcement. pay particular attention to USE ONLY PURE CANE SUGAR. if your bag of sugar says the ingredient is "sugar" and does not say "cane sugar", then it's beet sugar. use cane sugar please. also, do not use the brownish colored "natural sugar"

@redenigma we have a neighbor who refills his feeder 4 times a day. hummers who dont winter over hang around all yr now. they fight over the spigots.
as insects are diminishing, this is most what they live on.
we never use biocides.

@pennyphilosophy they don't get addicted to sugar. they mostly eat insects, so no pest sprays or plants treated with neonictoids, which will kill them...
