Well that's been a storm and a flood for the history books! And another one is coming.
Didn't have internet for a few days, have it for now but for who knows how long.
Made it through that historic Atmospheric River and its epic, epic storm and floods in the foothills, but the roads sure didn't. Never seen anything like it.
Still processing what I've just been through and still going through. But for anyone wondering, I'm still standing! So is my barn cat and so are my chickens!

My community is wonderful. We are all cut off from everything due to the flood damage to the road, because a new raging torrent just bit parts of it off in large chunks and threw it all away. These are unprecedented and historic times for my area. New bridges will have to be built. Neighbors are sharing food with each other as we get through this.
It's sure good to be rural at a time like this.
Won't soon forget the sounds of large boulders smashing into each other in the river all night, during the worst night of the last storm so far and in recent history.
