RE: rain-on-snow events later this week (around March 10, 2023):

-The low elevation snow, high soil moisture content, and higher river levels, which we currently have, tick the ingredients boxes for increased potential impacts from a warmer atmospheric river. It’s something to keep an eye on, but the predictions don’t yet show something huge like 1997 — there is something coming but it’s still quite uncertain how it will evolve.-

@pennyphilosophy

i am stocked up, done what i think i can do. hope nothing big happens, although the already damaged and not fixed yet roads will probably get damaged and flooded again so I will probably get cut off and have to shelter in place for a bit, again. for that I am also somewhat prepared.

what a weird winter for my area. usually in january it's dry enough to go out and gather up some wood. not this year!

Follow

@peeppeepcircus way north of you, where we be, it has been very very wet too this year, and forecast is for not much break until april.
