When I was a child I committed a mortal sin by having a Protestant friend.
you too?😏 i even went to their church, don't recall the denomination. it was boring.
since i had to go to church, at least mass had more than just someone sermonizing for an hour, i thought at the time.
@normsmusic In the 80s I visited Huntsville Alabama for work and two revivals were going on right across the street from each other. Huge tent revivals with hundreds of people each. One was totally white, the other totally Black. I don't know about the theology at each, but we dropped in on the one that had much much better music.
@walterbays @normsmusic I bet I know which one that was.
That would be the black tent.
@LnzyHou @normsmusic How did you guess? 😄
@LnzyHou @walterbays @normsmusic Almost certainly.
However, I should point out that white boys have a reputation for being able to play that funky music. 😁
@aspecurian @walterbays @normsmusic
Good one.
@normsmusic It really bothered me even back then that the congregations were segregated. Maybe it was incidental simply because of neighborhoods and church locations. But then it bothers me even more that the neighborhoods were segregated. Maybe that was incidental because of property values and income. And then it bothers me that the money was segregated.😥
@normsmusic
Double mortal sin if you stepped in his church.
