The greatest hurdle humanity faces is the fact that a third of the populace seems to be completely unable to be empathetic to anything or anybody they can’t directly relate to. Unless horrific, awful things that happen to millions of people around the world every day happen directly to them, it’s an abstract concept and they just pass on by it.
