So, I've finished the game, and am now playing through NG+ for the alternate ending (which I'm getting the feeling should have been the default).

Per the #PS5 's clock, I've now sunk 140 hours into this game. Worth it, of course, even if I take issue with the dumbing down of the game, it's still great fun.
At this rate, I'll spend the next 10 hours searching for the final fragment 🤬😆

Fun fact: if you watch the "Soothing Marker" vids I've posted...guess what?
That only gets more intense at random times while lugging around even a few Marker pieces (making NG+ more like the first & second #DeadSpace #videogames).
The reality warpage, the hallucinations (both auditory & visual) are [SPOILERS REDACTED]...anyhoo, you get to enjoy all that once you play it yourself. Just...I dunno, do what I did: put it on "Raging Weenie" mode for the first playthrough just to get the NG+, then set it on as difficult as you like.
I freely admit I mostly suck at video games, and am a massive weenis 😆
Gonna say right now that the original trilogy had *ALL* the makings of a Shakespearean love story/tragedy; now, it's mostly just a shoot em up style game.
I mean, still worth playing, and I don't regret a single cent I paid: just saying, I feel like they really missed an opportunity there, even if it was a bit slavish to the original story.
That part in the second game, where he just kinda collapses against the wall (after saving a woman he didn't love in lieu of Nikki)...
