@FrankCannon As I was talking with the PD their new SWAT TANK pulled in. That sucker is heavily armored!! The town invested heavily in militarizing itself.
@Priestess @FrankCannon yes it seems many locations did that at the time George Floyd was murdered. Now they are all about using their toys. In this case, I'm glad they have the might. Now I just hope they have the wisdom that is required to use it properly - which is to say - to not really use it unless it is the last dire resort.
@mims I saw many times with the RUC how coppers behaviour degenerates when given free rein and no overwatch. Forgetting that they're there to serve the public is the start of a downward spiral and the US has that kind of behaviour on steroids amongst a lot of cops. @Priestess

@FrankCannon @Priestess When I worked in Emerg Svcs (medical) I worked with lots of officers in blue. I have a LOT of respect for the ones I knew, b/c they followed the rule of law.
Ppl like Chauvin, and his ilk, who do not, I don't have time for them nor any effs to give about them. They are only sorry when they get caught acting out of true.

For a small town their PD has won national competitions. The men and women I've talked with are very pro.
