debate performance
has nothing to do
with the ability to govern
televised debates
are all about charisma
charisma
causes people
to go all googley-eyed
over a person
regardless of their character
or anything they say or do
governing a nation
successfully
where people
from all walks of life
have an equal chance
of making a good life
for themselves
takes a dedicated team
that believes in equality
and
stands against greed
stands against pollution
of air, water, ground
degrading quality of life
democracy is
not a tv show
where actors play a role
and watchers then assume
they have intimate knowledge
of them as a person
and love them
learn to recognize charisma
for what it is
a affect on your hormones
and discount its influence
i know no politician
well enough personally to say
i either like or dislike them
democracy is about voting in
a team of people from parties
who will work together
to put in place policies
that will be best
for the people in a country
as a whole

Charisma is what voting in a democracy society is about, though, this isn't specific to a debate.
People who win are "popular," which is a result of charisma and how they are perceived.
Yes, everyone should understand just because you like someone doesn't mean they are going to be good at the job... 🤷♂️
