Some of the album art we've been designing for our record label. They we're done retro-actively with the original art (our drawings) inset. The idea behind it was to frame the albums in a comic book style to reference the fact they are stories... they also lead into our debut comic which is with the artist this week... Excites! EEeEeeEeexcites! I figured out the perfect art concept for our album covers, gonna retroactively go back and replace the previous album art for it (and then make new videos for youtube, so they fit together, just cos)... So our original album art was one of our drawn art pieces as the whole thing but doing it this way incorporates it into the comic things we're doing and reinforces the idea of 'these are stories'... check out the new album art β€οΈ

#cosodesign #cosogaming so the testing of 3D world with 2D character sprites seems to be going well, got shadow casting working and they move around pretty easily within it. Now to figure out the Y axis movement to make it double dragon-esque while still being a 2.5D sidescroller :D woot!
The fur kids love hanging out when we're writing π π nearly finished the first comic script. Is a bit longer than the initial 10 pages we were aiming for and a lot darker but when we sat down to write it just flowed, was like watching it unfold as we went. Some heavy themes in it but can't really expect any less with a DiD origin story. Was definitely the right medium to do it too, couldn't have pulled this off with stopmo or get into the same depths visually...
phew, managed to figure out the RSD trigger cause and had a really good convo with the person who caused it (inadvertently), got it sorted and figured out, worked out a much better situation than the original 'what if' that was causing the meltdown. Only cost us 5 days this time, much better than the 6 months previously. Also, got our 3D character finished today. Time to learn animation and asset rigging in unreal
