Chicken sandwiches always seem to have the most variety. You can do so many things with the bird and still have a great meal. How you make (or buy) your pesto will really change the flavor of the sandwich!

For March, my health journey took a detour. I gained 1.5 pounds, and my body fat percentage increased by 0.7%. Other than ice hockey, I really was in a physical (and mental) funk for the month. April really needs to be a reboot month.

Living with someone who is such a talented baker is a godsend. Blueberry cake is light and fruity.

In the middle of making it, I called an audible. I do not regret the change. Baked pasta with sausage, peppers, tomatoes, and onion. All covered in mozzarella cheese. Paired with wine from a dear friend.

The quintessential American meal is some variation of meat and potatoes. It can be found on every menu and in every restaurant. While splitting them up might be sacrilege to some, either can stand on its own and shine. These baked potatoes are great as an entrée but pairing them with a strip loin steak is a delight.

if Funko doesn't make a POP! figurine of Godzilla napping in the Colosseum, they are missing a wonderful opportunity. so cute!

Through 3 levels in the hiring process and potentially moving to 4 when I get the second worst email from the company.

"At this time, we have made the decision to pause all recruitment efforts for this particular role."

Second time this happened. Wasn't as deep for the first one, but is this becoming a trend? Hoping it is just a glitch in the Matrix and things will get moving again very soon.

Still available/willing to chat about any comms role (internal/external/corporate).

I love soups and stews. The bringing together of flavors and the aromas they create while cooking are evocative and enticing. This Italian soup reminds me of home and comfort. It is remarkably easy to make, and it will bring the feeling of warmth to your place.

they know just where to (continually) hit me -- D&D and making food. yeah, I'm a halfling in spirit.

THE DECK OF MANY MORSELS, a recipe deck based on the New York Times bestselling D&D cookbook series, compiles some favorites from Heroes’ Feast Vol 1 and Heroes’ Feast: Flavors of the Multiverse PLUS 10 new recipes!

GODZILLA x Kong: The New Empire was amazing. The fight scenes, scenery, music was all spot on. Godzilla is truly the King of the Monsters. And him napping in the Colosseum in Rome is just the most adorable thing.

The Take Two Interactive/Gearbox Entertainment deal is a great move for both companies. I hope the acquisition is smooth and pain-free for all involved. And I'm really looking forward to what gets produced/published by this combo.

Today is Godzilla Day (oh, I guess it can also be Kong Day if that's your jam). looking forward to seeing the new movie tonight.

for having just a digital screen for a face, Zero is so expressive. my favorite Vault Hunter in all the Borderlands games.

I appreciate the effort, but when postage is more than the refund, you can just keep it.

in tonight's D&D campaign, the party inadvertently desecrates a crypt dedicated to the god of secrets, leaves behind a kindly dark gnome to be devoured by wraiths, and one member gets an apparent curse from a mummy. not a bad night, really.

Noodles are one of my favorite meals, whether in a baked cheese dish or covered with a spicy sauce. However, a peppery broth is an amazing addition to udon noodles, and when you toss in a soft-boiled egg and butter, the broth takes on a very creamy texture.

interesting conversation with a recruiter for a position I know very well. we talked baseball (particularly the AL East) for the first 5-10 minutes. this is not the first time this has happened. honestly, I think it is pretty cool.

"Rarely in the pages of a D&D book do you find the kind of guidance that becomes a fulcrum around which the entire storyline revolves. That’s because the folks that write D&D books can’t ever know who will be showing up to play. It’s up to the humans at the table to bring that kind of sustenance along with them on game nights if they want to..."

Great writing by Charlie Hall.
