I recently learned about a place where you can pay someone to let you go in and break stuff -- safely and legally. what a great business, and where was this when I was younger??

cool. cool. wake up to a burst blood vessel in my eye, turning it nearly completely red.

anyone needs an evil eye or a really awful side eye, I'm your guy today.

my D&D group is just the best. one day, I will tell the story of how the DM nearly broke me out of character with their understanding and support for tonight's game. I never realized how much I am surrounded by people who care so much about me. it is humbling and strengthening.

Seattle Underground Donut Tour was informative, entertaining, and tasty. Highly recommended. 🍩

found my spare webcam and my headphones on the floor this morning. trying to figure out which cat was doing livestreaming in the middle of the night. let me know if you saw one of them on Twitch or Discord.

In case you were wondering “how can I make fancy corn dogs,” here is your answer. Andouille sausage inside, Panko crust outside, BBQ aioli dipping sauce. So good.

Holiday market in the community. Good way to support local businesses in SE King County. Plus, it gets me out of the house.

waking up and not recognizing anything or anyone is confusing and terrifying. as if I haven't had enough of that this week. stop torturing me, brain!

My friends (well, this one in particular) are always looking out for my wellbeing, but they also know the week it has been for me. I can’t thank everyone enough for the words of encouragement, support, care, and job search help.

“The palm-size sandwich known as talyth is a beloved appetizer on many a menu…” I recommend having them with your favorite beverage. The Asiago cheese is divine!

* Sweet?

it is not a roller coaster. it is a pendulum. with a scythe attached at the bottom.

I rolled a 20 and a 1 this week, but the life DM hasn't told me if I had advantage or disadvantage. my expanded party is still rooting for me.

such a great night to spend with my friends (and now former colleagues). lots of stories, laughs, and a few emotional moments. but I know this is not goodbye, because we are more than just former coworkers. and that is something that will not go away. as I was told many times tonight, I have been and will continue to be part of their team.

As part of the recent Hasbro headcount reductions, I have been let go from Wizards of the Coast, effective today. I cannot tell you how honored it has been to work with the wonderful and talented people at WOTC. Being a part of Wizards was a dream job come true for me when I joined a little over a year ago. But now, it is time to start a "new game" and roll for initiative on my next adventure. Please let me know if you hear of anything where I might be a good fit. Excited by what is to come.

the results are in. and while there is a lot of medical jargon in the underlying explanation, the final result is that I'm medically stable. evaluations and medicine will continue but at a lesser rate. having expected the worst, I am overjoyed at these results. thank you for all the kind thoughts and words these past few days. I really appreciate each and every one of my friends and family.

Whenever I get a new cookbook, I like to start from the beginning. Goldenstars hale from Berdusk, on the River Chointhar.
