was talking with friends in our comics/gaming chat group and discussion moved to the new Dragon Age. I used Keep to find out what my saves looked like, and it didn't have Inquisition. now, I'm "replaying" DA:I just because that's how my gaming brain works. I regret nothing.

My organized brain loves numbers. In the 9 months since I was laid off, these are the numbers for my job search. Despite the big numbers, all I need is 1 to make a great career. Feeling good about my chances.

· Applications - 184
· Rejected without contact - 101
· Unresolved - 68
· Interviewed/position frozen/pulled - 4
· Interviewed/rejected - 4
· Interviewed/Pro Bono - 3
· Interviewed/ghosted - 3

There is just something about the versatility of meatballs that make them such a big hit. You can change up the meat, change the size, change the way you present them – the possibilities are limited only by your imagination.

I thought the Seattle area didn't get thunderstorms. Quite the light and sound show going on this evening!

I know it is hard to beat East Coast delis and sandwich shops. MSM in Tacoma still puts together a nice Reuben. The search continues…

spoke with a friend who was a recruiter for Meta before she was laid off 18 months ago. she said she has been contacted by four major Seattle-area companies who are looking to hire recruiters in expectations of a hiring push for the fall. so, some hope on the horizon for those of us still looking for our next career.

looks like I'm going to need to find a new home for the recipes site. Squarespace has become too expensive for me right now. looking for alternatives. not how I expected my day to start.

tried making a cheese sauce for pasta that used roasted garlic-infused milk. the sauce turned out great, but I'm definitely going to have to up my roasted garlic addition to it. love being experimental in the kitchen!

being an adult means eating the chili dogs for breakfast. and I'm here for it.

I have to stop saying things out loud. People are apparently listening and acting on my words.

about 30 minutes ago, I said, "instead of games, maybe Blizzard should be making movies?"

then I just found this article: pcgamer.com/games/world-of-war

Bam: "We’re not taking a bunch of civilians to an island that is supposed to lure you to your doom. That’s not a great plan."

And this is coming from the evil member of the party!

checked my status online, and yep, my vote has been counted for the state elections in Washington. one down, one to go.

Tim: “I’m warning you!”

Robin: “What’s he do, nibble your bum?”

Tim: “He’s got huge, sharp — eh — he can leap about — look at the bones!” 🐇💀

at what age did you stop sitting around with friends and talking about life to actually being so involved with life?

when the session devolves into jokes about holes (in the ground) and wood woads and spiritual hammers, it is totally the DM's fault for setting us up like that. we all have the brains of 12 year olds.

Keep finding new and great places to go. Flights of seltzers and amazing burgers. The onion rings are legit. This is a return visit. Thanks, San Juan Seltzery.

ever wake up from a dream and your brain tries to find meaning in the dream. then when the meaning turns out to be crappy, your brain tries to tell you to forget about the dream because it is only a dream.

stupid brain.
