@NorthernInvader no. near Mt. Rainer. too many trees fell across power lines. that's why it took so long to restore power.

and just like that, our power is back on. literally, people were in the streets cheering the lights. holding my breath that it stays on with another big storm on the way tomorrow.

halfway through the bomb cyclone-induced power outage. being helped and helping neighbors is the name of the game right now. sharing power supplies, providing fire, general conversation - this is what gets us through the next couple of days of no power. being there for each other.

Tavern Noodles from the Man-O-War restaurant in the Rock of Bral’s High City are amazingly delicious with a sauce made from low and slow sautéed onions, garlic, rosemary, and white wine.

Grits are one of the underappreciated foods in most of the U.S. A Southern staple for breakfast, restaurants are showcasing grits with plump shrimp and delicious cheese. The combination of those elements makes for a meal that delights all the senses.

Souffles can be very fussy. And take a lot of patience. And … well, if I’m going to mess around with one, why not make it a really good one. The original pimento cheese recipe gets a makeover for a light, delicious dish that does not seem pretentious at all.

It isn’t often that gaming dialog makes me laugh so hard that I drop the controller. Way to go, Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Scene: Taash’s mother meets with Taash and Rook.
Taash: “Mother.”
Mom: “You used to call me Taam.”
Taash: “I also used to wet the bed. Do you want me to start that again?”

ROFL!

Next to the Rueben, the Cuban sandwich is likely my most favored sandwich. The combination of flavors and warmth is perfection. But there is method to all that deliciousness.

DM: “Rev, you are still in love, but you see her for what she is.”

Uli: “That describes so many relationships!”

Taking a break from Dragon Age: The Veilguard for to play some D&D with my friends. I'll be back to saving Thedas later, but I would really appreciate some help in reach my donation goals. It would be a nice win for me and for the kids & families.

Cats do not respect the time change. They might be onto something.

@Faay I'm playing on PS5, but I can understand why that would be a dealkiller.

More Dragon Age: The Veilguard for and sick and injured kids. Come watch more of the action and hopefully make a donation!
