if your DnD party comes across a person who is clearly not a threat and has shown no intelligence or emotion, what is your course of action?

if you are Bam, you take out your war hammer and smear her head against the crypt wall, then move her body to a latrine.

as a DM, I am a bit alarmed....

I’m going to need a lot more coffee if you want me to progress beyond this state of being. ☕️

@finkled K has warned me to get into trouble.... or stay out of trouble. TBH, I wasn't listening.

I am going to be without supervision this week. K is on a work trip, so it is just me and the Tornado Twins (and Sunspot, who may shun me all week). let the games begin.

Nothing like an unexpected downpour with heavy wind and hail to liven up the afternoon. ☔️ And in 15 minutes, it is gone.

I will admit that it is a rare moment when one of my recipes doesn’t involve turning on the oven. But it also doesn’t heat up the kitchen area when temperatures rise. This shrimp salad is cool, refreshing, flavorful, and does take some prep work. Totally worth it.

starting off the week with a hot mug of deadly nightshade. how are you getting inspired today?

@amarand honestly, if the encounter would have had any impact on what they were doing, I might have reset it and mind wiped myself. :D

Silas: "Wait. I want to go back and check to see if they dropped any jewelry or money."

Gert: "If you reset the encounter by going back, I'm not going to save you."

as a DM, nothing warms my dice more than party unity. :)

K: “I don’t know if I can trust you to go get pizza and bring it home. You’d eat it all on the way back.”

Me: “That’s why I get the bread sticks.”

K: “…. Well played.” 🍕

It is hardly ever the day of. It is usually the day after.

Amazing 5-hour kayak tour in the waters of northern Washington. Got to see a seal, harbor porpoise pod, bald eagles, an old lighthouse complex, and beautiful scenery. A really fun adventure.

Another adventure, a kayak journey starting in the Rosario Strait. The rain just makes it more interesting.

@Heucuva8 I guess I've never thought of alignment as a mechanic. I've always believed it was flavor for characters, both PC and NPC. the idea of good and evil are a matter of perspective, as you pointed out. it all depends on what you story the DM wants to tell. who is right? who is wrong? the nuances are determined during play. I'm interested to hear how your scheme works in your game.

delicious Frelard tamales and award-winning beer from El Sueñito in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle. the queso with chorizo is wonderful as well.

They are doing amazing things with chocolate to create delicious candies and treats. And they have candy making classes. 🍫 🍬

iPhone updates. Apple watch updates. just need the PC to update, and I'll have the trifecta. no whammies, please.

DM: "Make me a CON saving throw."
Bam: "18."
DM: "The dust tickles your nose, but you remain silent."
Bam: "Did you just make me roll to see if I sneezed??"
O_o

after a friend called me in a slight panic because they got an email about their "presence" on the Dark Web, I did a little educating about what it was, how to spot spam/spoofing emails, and to not engage. my days of doing pro bono tech therapy continue....
