K: “I don’t know if I can trust you to go get pizza and bring it home. You’d eat it all on the way back.”

Me: “That’s why I get the bread sticks.”

K: “…. Well played.” 🍕

It is hardly ever the day of. It is usually the day after.

Amazing 5-hour kayak tour in the waters of northern Washington. Got to see a seal, harbor porpoise pod, bald eagles, an old lighthouse complex, and beautiful scenery. A really fun adventure.

Another adventure, a kayak journey starting in the Rosario Strait. The rain just makes it more interesting.

@Heucuva8 I guess I've never thought of alignment as a mechanic. I've always believed it was flavor for characters, both PC and NPC. the idea of good and evil are a matter of perspective, as you pointed out. it all depends on what you story the DM wants to tell. who is right? who is wrong? the nuances are determined during play. I'm interested to hear how your scheme works in your game.

delicious Frelard tamales and award-winning beer from El Sueñito in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle. the queso with chorizo is wonderful as well.

They are doing amazing things with chocolate to create delicious candies and treats. And they have candy making classes. 🍫 🍬

DM: "Make me a CON saving throw."
Bam: "18."
DM: "The dust tickles your nose, but you remain silent."
Bam: "Did you just make me roll to see if I sneezed??"

after a friend called me in a slight panic because they got an email about their "presence" on the Dark Web, I did a little educating about what it was, how to spot spam/spoofing emails, and to not engage. my days of doing pro bono tech therapy continue....

New comic book day! World’s Finest, Nightwing, Superman (Absolute Power tie in), and Wonder Woman (another tie in). I like how the tie ins have a partner hero in each.

the upgrades and changes that Firaxis Games is making for Civilization VII are amazing, innovative, and exciting. February 2025 cannot come soon enough. And so great to see my friends at the studio.

I’ve seen nitrogen filled tires on cars. Never seen nitrogen used for running shoes. 👟

was talking with friends in our comics/gaming chat group and discussion moved to the new Dragon Age. I used Keep to find out what my saves looked like, and it didn't have Inquisition. now, I'm "replaying" DA:I just because that's how my gaming brain works. I regret nothing.

@amarand generally, no. LinkedIn has gotten notorious for spam/ghosting. I have a list of companies where I'd like to work, and I go directly to their career pages. I also get leads from friends/colleagues.

My organized brain loves numbers. In the 9 months since I was laid off, these are the numbers for my job search. Despite the big numbers, all I need is 1 to make a great career. Feeling good about my chances.

@DianeH @Brisse so getting foreign MTG product in the US is tricky. Theoretically, retailers aren't supposed to ship sealed product out of their region. Using a secondary market (like eBay) or finding a middle person is likely the only way to make it happen. hope this helps.

There is just something about the versatility of meatballs that make them such a big hit. You can change up the meat, change the size, change the way you present them – the possibilities are limited only by your imagination.
