A fun southern alternative to “does a bear shit in the woods” that I just learned: “Is a pig’s ass pork?”

Man, Gel-X is WAY harder than it looks. I should've used a practice hand. My second set looks almost as terrible as my first one did.

I graduated from PT this week because my foot has improved enough that I can do all my daily activities without difficulty. Unfortunately while my strength is back almost to where it was, my flexibility still has a long way to go. I can't stand all the way up on my toes, nor can I curl my toes all the way under. I'm still planning to do the other foot next year. I hope my first one is back to normal by then.

@b4cks4w oooh yeah I know what you’re talking about. That happened to my mom’s too.

Juno says she likes the new cat tower 💕 (she always looks angy, that’s just her face)

@b4cks4w not especially, but if you get a stainless one and you scrape it out immediately so nothing dries in it, you can just put it in the dishwasher

@b4cks4w I like to use a garlic press. You put a peeled clove in and squeeze, and it’s forced out through little holes so it’s kind of a paste after.

Why does DoorDash make it so hard to add a tip for the dasher??

@lemontart Yeah, they're (usually) oblivious. I don't ever need reminders from the (US) dominant religious group -- also wields political power -- that I'm not a member. I don't need reminders of their historical actions towards me/mine. At best it's thoughtless, borderline rude.

@Mauve_matelot have a good day, have a great day, have a nice day, anything that doesn't have to do with religion

I know they mean well but I really wish people would stop saying “have a blessed day” to me.

I watched Good Boy (2022) today. Disappointed. It wasn't scary, just weird and the premise was flimsy. And I find it hard to relate to horror protagonists who get into danger by being stupid and ignoring warning signs.

@Soldier_Solitude unfortunately I'm not too sure why they didn't last. I think sometimes I neglect friendships out of avoidance of the discomfort trying to be social generates. Staying in touch, coming up with things to do together and then finding the energy to do them, it's a lot of work sometimes.

I haven't reached out to my friend who moved, at first because I was blindsided and felt discarded. I still have mixed feelings, and I haven't heard from her either which makes me reluctant to try.

Gauge swatching in the round s u c k s

That’s all.

… (If I spent as much time working on my swatch as I am whining about how much I don’t like making it, I’d be almost done probably.)

Considering switching vets. I put in an online pharmacy request for my cat’s prescription food EIGHT DAYS AGO and they haven’t approved it yet. I even called them today and it still isn’t done.

@ExecutiveFunction404 I love those!! I had no idea chenille velvet was a thing

You ever just schedule a recurring meeting on Outlook with the Zoom plugin, and then cancel one occurrence by just verbally saying “today’s meeting is canceled” to like one random participant instead of using the Cancel Meeting button like a civilized person so that everyone else is sitting in the Zoom waiting room for 10 minutes wondering when it’s going to start? Grumble grumble grumble

@ExecutiveFunction404 I started out counting multiple times but it was coming out crooked anyway so I kind of gave up 😂 in my defense this was my first crochet stuffed animal AND my first time using fleece yarn. Have you tried chenille yarn? I was thinking about doing that next time.
