Twenty-five minutes later, and my "Wake the Hell Up!" coffee hasn't had the same result that it had yesterday. If anything, it's made me a bit ill this morning, but that's more likely due to my medications playing havoc with it. I call this an invalid test.

Having "Wake the Hell Up!" coffee again this morning, but brewed on a larger mug size Keurig brewer setting and used half & half instead of creamer. Same good coffee taste, enhanced by the use of real dairy (or detracted by, depending upon your opinion of half & half).

We'll see how the larger cup brew affects the caffeine kick. Will report back in a few.

Following up on "Wake the Hell Up!" coffee: I am now experiencing the let-down of the caffeine rush. It's a bit of a drop-off from a high plateau, but I wouldn't call it a crash. WtHU! did keep me going through my oxycodone haze, though.

Again, WtHU! coffee comes Highly Recommended, even over other so-called "ultra-caffeinated" brands out there, IMHO.

Eighteen minutes after finishing my cup of "Wake the Hell Up!" coffee, and I'm on a good, strong caffeine rush. Not shakingly strong, but noticeably there, bolstering me and making itself felt in my hands and fingers on the keyboard.

"Wake the Hell Up!" is "Highly Recommended!"

Re: "Wake the Hell Up!" coffee. The caffeine kick has started at approximately 4 minutes after I finished my cup. It sort of slid in on me, and is in the middle of a crescendo at the moment.

Trying "Wake the Hell Up!" dark roast ultra-caffeinated coffee this morning. Actually, not a bad cuppa. Slightly sweet, full-bodied, not bitter at all. Will report on the caffeine kick once it's had a chance to.

We went through the illy Extra Dark Roast coffee rather quickly - fast enough that I'm already ordering another six-pack of boxes from Amazon, which will get here today if they make good on their same-day delivery guarantee.

I've also ordered another 12-cup box for experimentation which should also arrive today - something called "Wake the Hell Up!" Ultra-Caffeinated Coffee. It's a dark roast. We'll see what it tastes like tomorrow morning.

Well, my little trick with the Reddi-wip Sweet Foam Coffee Topper unfortunately isn't as cool of a trick as I thought it was. It only works if you let the foam sit for a little while first, which kind of defeats the purpose of having the foam in the first place.

No, the only thing that really extends the foam's life is to use your upper lip like a dam until you feel the coffee approaching, *then* start drinking the mix. It's messy, but it works.

I think I've figured out how to drink coffee with the Reddi-Wip Sweet Foam Coffee Topper properly.

First, make sure you're using *at least* a 12 ounce cup. Once you've topped your coffee, give your cup a few swirls to separate the foam from the edge of the cup. This will let the coffee come through and mingle with the foam properly, giving you a rather pleasant (yet still brief) coffee experience.

Don't swirl too much - you'll dissolve the foam into the coffee.

Just got back from the local big box Walmart with a can of Reddi-wip Sweet Foam Coffee Topper, anxious to use it on a cup of illy Extra Dark Roast. I followed the directions to a T and got a thick layer of sweet foam on top of my coffee.

The first few sips were mostly foam, with a bit of coffee struggling to get through. I eventually got a 50/50 mix of foam and coffee, but by that time I'd drunk most of the foam. As you can guess, the foam didn't last long.

Interesting concept.

Whatever you do, don't put too much half & half into your cup of illy Extra Dark Roast coffee. It totally ruins the flavor profile and turns it into coffee-flavored dairy. 😭

Trying something a little different this morning. I'm using this illy Extra Dark Roast K-Cup coffee, but I've bumped up the cup size by one and have substituted half & half for the non-dairy creamer powder I normally use. Not a bad blend.

Drinking the Yuban 100% Columbian again this morning. Don't know why.

A milestone has been reached in the Jackson household. At long last, we are *out* of the Sacred Grounds coffee! I am drinking the last K-Cup of Dark Horse blend as I type this. Huzzah.

Haven't been doing much testing lately - just drinking the various coffees from previous tests, such as today's illy Extra Dark Roast. I do have to report that Mrs. Capt is drinking this one faster than I can lay hands upon it.

In other news, the pump that I bought for the Torani syrup is apparently top shelf dishwasher safe. We ran it through a cycle, and it came out unscathed.

Just realized I haven't tried the Torani Puremade Chocolate Milano syrup with my old staple, the Organic Drago Blend.

I'm afraid the Drago doesn't stand up to the Torani. The chocolate flavor overwhelms the coffee. It's still delicious and very drinkable, but expect chocolate coffee instead of a blend.

And with that, I'm almost out of the Torani. It was a fun experiment, but I probably put on a couple of pounds as a result. 😭

COFFEE CRISIS: “Unless something changes,” Kettler said, “in 20 years you’ll only have two choices of coffee when we walk into a cafe: Brazilian or Vietnamese.”

Trying the Laughing Man Columbia Huila with some Torani Puremade Chocolate Milano syrup.

The two blend well together, but not in the same way as the illy Extra Dark does. This is obviously chocolate coffee, albeit chocolate Laughing Man coffee. The same rich aftertaste of the Columbia Huila stands out quite well.

I'd say I'd recommend this blend over the coffee by itself. It works very well.

New K-Cups to experiment with: Laughing Man Columbia Huila. Made regular, no chocolate syrup.

First impression: strong. Nutty taste. Little bitterness. Lasting rich aftertaste. Not as dark roasted as the illy coffee.

I have a feeling that this will go well with the Torani Chocolate Milano syrup tomorrow. Right now, recommended, especially if you want a swift kick in the rumble seat.
