Incidentally, I'm proud of myself. At 9:40ish last night PST I was there when the system came to an abrupt halt and everything began crashing. One of my clerks began spreading a rumor "it must be a virus or cyber attack" and I shut him down immediately and said "no, it's most likely just a bad update they didn't properly check!" I really didn't want him making customers think something extreme they could bring to the news and I also felt strongly it had to be an update. I'm proud I was right!

So, I'm a "techy guy" according to people who know me, though I only just have a cursory power user knowledge of computers.
Anyway, that was enough for my boss to call me first thing in the morning and ask me to come fix our store's computers and registers. For a brief couple hours I felt important, like that scene in Armageddon when they begin stripping the nuke apart and reprogramming it in a rush 😂.

The people calling Biden too old seem to love forgetting Trump is only 3 years younger, and now 3 years older than Biden was when they first started calling him too old.

Also that argument has always been so flawed, since terms are 4 years....Trump would always be older at the end of his term than Biden was at the start as his opposition.

My dad worked as a Federal Penitentiary Corrections Officer for 40 years. He worked at Kingston Pen and the Edmonton Remand Center. He passed away in November and I'm trying to figure out how to contact either through email as I want to know if anyone there remembers him, and has any stories to share. So far all I've found are phone numbers for visitation and mailing addresses. Anyone here have any ideas?

Stressed, tired, worn out. Transferred stores back to my old one finally, only to be voluntold to manage a different department as their manager is on stress leave. Only got to see my sick little girl for an hour on father's day. Now it looks like they ghost cancelled my upcoming vacation week. Not sure how much longer I can deal with the crap they throw at me.

I don't know any good apps besides the Google translate one, and it sucks! But I did try it one line at a time

A coworker handwrote a poem for me in Punjabi, challenging me to find a way to translate it. We've been exchanging poems for the last few weeks that we write on our breaks. Google translate isn't working, it's struggling to identify the language in some sections and thinks a whole line is upside down. Is there anyone on here who reads and speaks Punjabi, who could translate it to English for me in a PM?
