β€œHow is it,” I once asked him, β€œthat people who are not possessed of a single other virtue should come out at times as patriots?”

β€œExaggerated patriotism,” he answered, β€œis the most insincere form of self-conceit.” And at another time he said, β€œPatriotism is the virtue of the vicious.”

-Oscar Wilde, in conversation with Arthur Henry Cooper Prichard

@WeThePeople this is so atrocious!!!! This needs to be out in the public eye! The sheriff basically killed himself from being unhealthy and made a wrongful arrest of someone who was incapable of even understanding what was happening....this shouldn't have happened and they seriously want to CHARGE HIM?!?

A Guatemalan teen is charged in the death of a Florida sheriff’s sergeant who died of heart failure during his arrest. But the teen's attorney says video shows the officer made an illegal stop and search and used excessive force.

@mcfate yeah I think the Canadian government granted him citizenship to make a political point lol it's so weird they went through the effort to do that

@th3j35t3r I swear he literally thinks that the best way to run a business is to present the company as politically neutral at your own convenience meanwhile he Xcretes posts on the platform that are so charged and negative that he thinks "any engagement is good engagement!"

I can't believe I wanted to mail in to him an investment proposal for a brighter educational future for our youths when I was in my 20's...

This fuck face needs to keep his beak out of... pretty much everything. Β―\_(ツ)_/Β―

@mcfate Santa is actually a citizen of Canada, he can't vote for any President!

@Victor I remember when they did that to see if it made them better at getting intelligence...and shockingly the answer was yes

Debit and credit systems are massively unresponsive in my area (central Vancouver Island, BC, Canada) sometimes they work, mostly they don't.. almost feels like an old school Low Orbit Ion Cannon attack.. anyone else seeing any issues? I'm winding if it's organic or intentional

@Keep_Real thank you, can't be many of those around here especially with the dual shading

The sheer vindication when I catch thieves on camera when the boss thinks checking the cameras the way I insisted would be a waste of time...these guys have been stealing hundreds of $$$ worth of nicorrette products a week and I finally caught them πŸ™ŒπŸ“£ might not be the best photo, but they have the most distinctive vehicle I think I've ever seen for thieves...what make and model do you guys think this is? That's gotta be a custom modification. The police probably know the vehicle

@Render in Jet Li's "The One" when the evil version of him picks up a motorcycle and smashes someone with it!

But if we're talking riding, probably Terminator 2 with the Harley jumping off the bridge

I say this because I constantly see this evasive dismissive attitude from them and it's terrifying. They're literally trying to gaslight history itself. Every political view is capable of extremism and horror...they need to acknowledge their insatiable greed for control is not only causing harm, but is capable of causing atrocities the likes of which no one ever wants to see again.

Why I can't stand modern conservatives:
Historically, we know Stalin was *basically* left-wing extremism at its worst. Most people on the left acknowledge this. We also know Hitler was *basically* right-wing extremism at its worst. Yes, the party was socialist in name and economic policy, but the actual foreign, social, domestic etc policies were far-right nationalism. Yet, today's conservatives fight this like toddlers, constantly saying "nuh-uh!". They think their shit don't stink. Horrifying.

@Render just subscribed to your website (albeit the free version since I'm poor) I didn't know you had one! I love reading your content!

@Bliss @amarand I'd say both of you are likely right here. It's an apartment building, I'm on the second floor. The walls have steel in them from what I understand? We are in a very tight dip in, and I wouldn't say it's mountainous, but definitely a very roughly and hilly area. My carrier is Koodo, I should have 5G signal strength but no matter where we are in the house, it's difficult to get a consistent signal. Half the time my chair in the living room gets a signal, half the time it doesn't.

Question for my tech savvy peeps!
Is there some kinda cellular signal booster I can buy as a normal person?
We live in a building with lots of concrete and metal, and also in the woods near the edge of town. I'm almost constantly at 0.5 of a bar or no bar at all and it doesn't seem safe to exist like that.
