If you have not kept up on CSS units, check out the ch and how to use it for line length: swyx.io/line-lengths/

@corlin Good point. And as far as I am concerned, he is alrite.

@mach Agreed. I have read _many_ Web3 takedowns and this one I enjoyed a lot for his directly taking on OpenSea.

@koavf
Oh!....thank you
wondering if Dr. Hotez is on CoSo because that would be really cool...😁

@glennhansen_ Thanks: always down for recommendations. (And I do not use Twitter, hence why I am here! But I could find a Nitter instance and figure out who she follows: good lead.)

@glennhansen_ Thanks for the recommendation: this seems up my alley!

Sweden has launched a Psychological Defense Agency to counter propaganda from the People’s Republic of China, Iran, and Russia: telegraph.co.uk/world-news/202 This needs to be a part of the American military and general NATO defense strategy.

@corlin A lot of the dynamic features that are very useful in some applications have gotten thrown into documents where it is not at all necessary on the Web. I especially cringe at the inclusion of dynamic, third-party content like embedding microblog posts! Why would you want _your_ website and its content to be at the whims of a third party whose content can change or be deleted at any moment?

@corlin Oh, nice: I've seen _Lo-Tech_ before and I like it.

I am very much in favor of the recommendations here, particularly vanilla HTML/CSS and no hotlinking: jeffhuang.com/designed_to_last If you have even the mildest interest in maintaining a Web presence, consider this.

@corlin Yeah, this is definitely a problem for things like deanonymizing Big Data sets, for instance. Can differential privacy (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Differen) overcome this? Maybe. But if not, there are still lots and lots of applications where academic publications can and should share data, if for no other reason than the replicability crisis. I appreciate you sharing your experience, too.
