Today's find from the #InternetArchive is the oral argument in Griswold v. Connecticut - the Supreme Court case from 1965 that said that married women should have the right to purchase contraceptives. This case laid the foundation for a right to privacy which is under attack today. I hope as folks head to the polls they remember our rights are not guaranteed. @WeThePeople That, and he has nearly $1 billion in debt servicing to pay per annum. If the advertisers desert him, he's hosed.
@Dizzy_Dezzi Mmm, that sounds like a good Mole is in order.
@Iceman_Bob I always treated Twitter more as a curated news aggregator than a place to be social with people.
@FatalExit Hi! πIβm finding that this isnβt precisely a replacement for the bird app, but itβs a neat experience in its own right.
@cadfael777 Word. My diopters are similarly ridiculous, and Iβm finally going for an eye exam in the morning for the first time since before the pandemic. I really need new street and safety glasses!
@Tarnagh Wait! You mean I donβt need a dozen columns following hashtags? OMG, there will be so much less scrolling. Thank you.
@grantophus Not asking. People who can become pregnant are being forcibly reclassified as less-than-corpses.
@JLordanKelly Are you right-handed or left-handed? My righty mother taught me to knit, which has always felt awkward, but I (a lefty) taught myself how to crochet left-handed, which feels more natural.
Possibly also relevant: left-handed stitching crafts grow from left to right, in the same direction that the pattern is written. Right-handed stitching grows from right to left, which has always felt backwards to me.
