What is he, like 9? 10?
@Teej_Muk we were there at low tide, or receding, and there were a ton of broken crabshells - the seabirds were everywhere! There's a large rock to the south of where the creek mouth is, and there was a lot of gravel.
Have fun!! Stay dry.
@Teej_Muk Fogarty Beach has great agate gravel!!!

@redenigma looks like it's just Australia & New Zealand. :\
@redenigma Where did you find that?
@finkled @TrueBloodNet Ooh, I remember my TV had that too. Never used it!!
@TrueBloodNet I have smartplugs on my living room lights that switch them off at 11:30. Visible sign to me that I need to get my butt into bed.
Doesn't work much, but at least I know I'm on borrowed time when they turn off (and I turn them back on verbally).
@piquant00 Awwwwwww. I miss my beags too.
@IrelandTorin If you go the matzo ball route, a few things to remember:
1. the mix needs to be refrigerated for at LEAST 20 minutes
2. Make them small - they DOUBLE in size
3. Use seltzer water. She gets little 8 oz bottles, only needs a few tablespoons
4. you don't need to salt the water you cook the balls in, just boiling water
5. they take 20 minutes in the pot after the last one goes in, don't crowd them. We made 12 at a time, that's about half a box of matzo.
enjoy!!!
a good size for the initial ball is no bigger than 3 cm. They will be a good 5-6cm wide after cooking!
@IrelandTorin I'm having leftover matzo ball chicken soup, homemade by a good friend. So so yum
