I get the feeling that some people have already spotted that there is a significant update to one of my public #GitHub repositories
Covers the fact that that myself and Sander Stad will be presenting a #GitHub PreCon at #DataSaturdayDenmark at the #Microsoft building in Lyngby.

Just a reminder that myself and
Sander Stad will be hosting a #GitHub database deployments workshop for #sqlserver at #DataSaturdayDenmark on March 24, at the very nice #Microsoft office in Lyngby
You can book your seats here:

I have added a Wiki to the new #GitHub repository that I made available.
You can use as a template to perform state-based CI/CD to an #AzureSynapse serverless pool a new way using #AzureDevOps and dacpacs.
Please give the repository a star in GitHub if proves to be useful.

All, I have updated this post published in December.
It now contains an additional paragraph and a link to the newer post about the recent exam pages.
Worth reading if you are studying for a #Microsoft exam. #Azure #DP203 #DP300 #DP500 #PL300 #MicrosoftLearn
https://www.kevinrchant.com/2022/12/19/microsoft-certifications-are-a-slow-moving-target/
On a side note, will keep there reference to #DataSaturdayDenmark in the post.
Even though I saw yesterday evening that impressively there are only a few spaces left for the Saturday now.
Covers using the Azure SQL Deploy v2 #GitHub Action for #AzureSynapse dedicated SQL Pool deployments (aka sql-action).
If using #GitHubActions for #SQLServer deployments should also read as syntax changed with v2 #SQLFamily

Published yesterday. Covers some updates about exam pages for Azure certifications in this post.
If you are studying for a #Microsoft exam please read, because one update is very important.
Relates to various exams. Including the AZ-400 and the DP-500 exams. Which are both mentioned in this post #Azure #AZ400 #DP500 #MicrosoftLearn

Since I made a bit of an announcement about an #Azure #Databricks session at #DataSaturdayDenmark yesterday I thought it appropriate to share this post again.
Which is an interesting read for anybody intending to use Databricks Repos

Since the schedule is now live I am pleased to announce that I will be presenting a brand new session at Data Saturday Denmark as below.
I am looking forward to travelling to Denmark to speak again.
You can register at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/data-saturday-denmark-032-tickets-489401512097 . #AzureDatabricks #AzureDevOps #DataSaturdays
Published last month. Covers some recommended Microsoft certifications for #DevOps enthusiasts.
In this post I share recommended exam routes along with plenty of links.
Plus, I mention some non-Microsoft certifications. #AzureDevOps #GitHub #MicrosoftLearn
https://www.kevinrchant.com/2023/01/16/recommended-microsoft-certifications-for-devops-enthusiasts/
Those who use #Azure #DataFactory are will probably want to read this announcement about the introduction of managed airflow
My hot take for the evening.
If you are selecting 'Classic editor' in #AzureDevOps you are not creating a YAML pipeline.
Therefore, you are not truly working with Infrastructure as Code.
I wonder how many people noticed the fact that I used the newer V2 of the sql-action #GitHub Action 14 mins into this #AzureSynapse video.

The subtitles obscure some of the text, but you can find it in the below repo:

After my recent certification posts though appropriate to pass my first #Microsoft certification renewal for 2023.
Over the last month I have done a series of posts relating to Microsoft certifications. For the benefit of those looking to gain certifications as part of their New Year resolutions.
They are mostly aimed at those looking to take Data Platform certifications in 2023. With some posts aimed at certifications for specific services.
However, some can be useful for other certifications as well and contain advice that can be used for various exams. #MicrosoftLearn
