Maybe this is old news, but the ISS has been extended through 2030!
Wow!
10B doses administered thus far.
No other coordinated project has impacted so many humans.

Former NC Gov. Pat McCrory is bitching about being "cancelled" by Duke because he wasn't offered a job.
The key issue is teaching.
McCrory has positions and opinions based on faulty information.
He lacks an ability to discern the quality of data that generated that information. He begins with his opinion and backs out the logic and supporting data.
This is the opposite of how to educate.
This is why he should not be allowed to teach.

The James Webb Space Telescope has arrived at its destination: L2 relative to Earth!
Time to start months of calibration before really, really cool photos are taken.
This is a fake story that fooled my friends and me:
"WARNING! People are going door-to-door handing out masks, saying it's a new initiative from local government. They ask you to put it on to see if it fits, but it has been doused with chemicals that knock you out. Then they rob you. Don't accept masks from strangers! "

Humanity has mostly been comprised of philistines for much of its history.
Primal interests.
Primal needs.
Survival-focused coupled with a rational mind.
Now that we are less concerned, day to day, about survival, some of humanity is less primal and driven by survival instincts.
This group tends to look forward. It projects the potential of humanity and desires to get there quickly.
But the philistines hold everyone back.
This situation has been improving all along, but slowly.
Whenever we use a word to label something, we define a scope / limit to what it is.
We don't always agree to what that scope or limit is.
This is a source of many frustrating arguments.
For instance, when does something deserve the label "Life"? What threshold is crossed? When does it pass back over that threshold, and is that always called "Death"?
We all think we know the answer, but this is at the root of much disgust and animosity in many cultures.
