Interesting.
My experience is the exact opposite. My friends are helicopters and my parents (and most of my childhood friends) were AWOL.
I was assuming that we needed more parental involvement in underprivileged children's lives. The lack thereof is a potential reason why we're seeing kids shoot football players in downtown San Francisco.

Is there a solution to mitigate that effect?
Deterrence vs Retribution
Would parents act any differently if they were held accountable?
Would society act differently if they saw parents struggle and still fail with dire consequences?

Then, wouldn't that be part of the story? The failure of society to assist parents that have done all they can but it wasn't enough.
We just had a 17 y/o shoot a 49rs football player in our downtown.
What is the problem that caused this shooting?
Maybe the child thought it was OK to use a gun to commit the crime?
Should society hold parents accountable?
We currently don't.
Should parents of recent juvenile felons be publicly exposed?
Objective: Create consequences for poor parenting.

Or, I see a really complex situation that I cannot resolve.
And, engaging in it requires defending a side. When the sides are all messy, no amount of reasoning will change the passionate hearts. And, maybe they don't need changing?

This was designed to mount to a Mercedes. But adapters could be made for any model out there. Just need to design those interfaces.
Almost done with version #2 of the Pixel 8 smartphone holder-charger for the car.
This will adapt to any case within a range of thicknesses.
This is a critical spec in our family because the wife has the same phone but a different case and we both drive that car.
And, I need to hardwire in the power for long trips. Wireless doesn't keep up with the power requirements of navigation and music streaming.
