I could use some coding advice.
I've got a MySQL database and I want to automate the output of CSVs (or JSONs) so that I could use them in a visualization layer.

The SQL (a crosstab) to output is written and works. But, it uses SET commands to build the variables for the filename. The semicolons really scramble up how Python reads in the SQL.

Am I making this too complex?

At a high level, what is a simple sequence to get the output and automate it?
