It may seem counterintuitive, but doxing a defense expert witness right before the trial harms the prosecution's case.
When the defense puts up a flawed witness, the prosecutors can impeach that witness on the stand, destroying his credibility
in front of the jury.
The article doesn't question how the reporter "obtained" private emails or whether it's a problem to use them to pressure a witness into backing out of a trial.

@Ellis564 There are typically two sentencing memos, one by the DOJ, the other by the defendant. They serve to remind the judge of what happened during the trial and extenuating circumstances behind asking for a longer or shorter sentence.

A Michigan man was arrested and charged in a criminal complaint with illegally possessing firearms after having been committed to a mental institution and while being an unlawful user of a controlled substance, announced United States Attorney Dawn N. Ison. The man came to the attention of the FBI after he made numerous threats over YouTube to kill FBI agents, members of the LGBTQ community, President Biden, and Governor Whitmer.
