A family in the early 1900's built a house (this is a replica, now a museum in the same location) on the side of a dormant volcano.

At least they had enough foresight to build the house with sheet metal so it wouldn't be completely burnt to cinders when the lava came. Other than that, building a house on the side (direct path) of a "dead" volcano is pretty damn stupid, as stupid as voting for Trump.
