One thing with returning my mail ballot to the drop box the day after receiving it -- the campaigns now know I already voted. The ones with enough resources to keep their data up to date will not waste resources mailing me or sending people to my door.

I voted by mail last month. But I still get texts from pols begging for money. Not that I've ever given any. Ever.

I voted early and my husband will be voting in person. The get out the vote mail is all addressed to him. The folks knocking on the door are asking for him.

An early vote is a contribution to all the campaigns you support, because they don’t have to spend money or time getting out your vote.

(A sign on the door with names of those who have already voted in person means they don’t have to keep coming back on election day — they do use that data from volunteers.)
