How it started, and how it's going. I'm pretty happy with the second take. I'm probably losing sideburns martial arts guy from the story as I think there are one too many characters in it.

Ok, got all my August book promos scheduled. A whole month of stuff outside of my regular superhero fare is a strange place to be, but sometimes you have to focus on the peripheral stuff.

Hey#Coso, here is one of my infrequent toots. Do you like ? If so, nearly my entire catalog is available in audio (more than just superheroes!). Perfect for long drives/long boring shifts, walking the dogs, gardening, or anywhere you want a story but need your hands and eyes for other things. audible.com/search?searchAutho /nosanitize

I'm at the library to work on a book! For the first time in two and a half years!

Plotting my next book. It's not titled "How to Steal a Nuclear Missile Sub for Fun and Profit," but that's not a bad pitch for it.

I have completed the first draft of my epic fantasy, Roast Wyvern and Other Recipes. Clocked in at a tidy 102k words, which will probably give potential agents heartburn. I've got a dear writer friend who is insisting on this getting to her agency, so we'll see what happens. Anyway, this was a fun diversion before I get back into the next book in my ongoing superhero series.

Hey there - I try not to do too much self promotion here, but every once in awhile I will remind you that I have a fairly extensive list of ebook/audiobook/print books. If you're looking for a break from all the politics and whatnot, you could always enjoy a book by a fellow cosonaut! amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07QFYQ9P1

Just about up to 96k words on this behemoth of a fantasy novel. Two chapters to go. I could have written a lot more this weekend but any amount of moving forward is still heading in the right direction. Goodnight, , wherever you are!

I'm in that part of writing a book where I'm really close to the end and would rather start the next project but I HAVE to finish this one first.

When you're trying to figure out the best way to cook a Wyvern and you only have three days before you're catering the Princess' wedding party feast.

update. The party has found where they can acquire the final ingredient for the fancy dish they must prepare for the Princess' wedding party. However, while all the hunter types have headed off to do their thing, my poor chef and her stableboy are forced to confront a Wyvern by themselves.

Good morning, ! I got to start my day reviewing a chapter upload for my next upcoming audiobook. That's a great way to begin a day.

Went over 90k words tonight in my . Apparently I write doorstops when it comes to fantasy novels.

Fun trivia for you from my fantasy world. Elves don't bathe; they douse themselves in perfume instead, so they basically smell like flowery ass. Dwarves don't understand food cleanliness (because they're hardy). Eating a meal made by a Dwarf is risking horrible illness. Halflings tend to specialize in poisons because when you're small, you need every advantage you can get. And Orcs are terrific at bureaucracy.

1 week to go!

Officially available for preorder! Jackrabbit: Rinse and Repeat releases June 14. If you like your superheroes wacky, your premises outlandish, and talking chimpanzees, this is the book for you. amazon.com/dp/B0B2QLYSXD

Have you supported your local indie author today? If you can, buy a book. If you can't buy one, check one out at the library (and if they don't have it, ask them to get it for you). If you can't do that, post a review (even a short one helps, such as "I liked it! 5 stars!"). If you can't do that, spread the word. We indie authors thrive when you help us or wither and die when you don't.

Gonna call it a night. Tomorrow, I will put Jackrabbit: Rinse and Repeat up for preorder. Good night, , wherever you are!

I'm in an ugly transition part of my where I need to wrap up this current interstitial/liminal scene so I can move the party into the mountains and finally hunt the damn Wyvern. I hate transitions and always self-sabotage instead of just finishing the goddamn thing. And no, I can't just skip it and come back to write it later. I have to write scenes in the correct order.

Unfortunately, I will not be at or . The Denver scene is saturated and even though I have loads of friends who attend those, I'm also in the business of selling books, and there aren't enough new attendees at those to make it worth my time.
