Recently I posted William Carlos Williams’ poem about the red wheelbarrow and various quotes about what makes poetry poetry.
@grayman responded, “My second year of college, one of my instructors stated: ‘What makes a poem a poem? The poet says it is a poem.’”

I wonder if a certain group of people would take climate change seriously if there was a potential shortage of Bud Light?

Before you answer any of those questions, I have an assignment for you:
Go to a bookstore or library and get Sharon Creech’s book “Love that Dog.” Read it (it will take 30 minutes or less) and report back to me on your thoughts on the red wheelbarrow.
Fin.
Dog walks into a telegraph office...
Clerk says, "What's your message?"
Dog says, "Woof woof, woof woof woof, woof woof woof woof."
Clerk says, "You know, for the same price, you can fit one more 'woof' in."
Dog replies, "But that wouldn't make any sense."
June 21 is #ShowYourStripes day — a time to spread awareness about climate change using the iconic ‘warming stripes’ graphics showing temperature trends over the last 100+ years.
Each colored stripe represents the annual average temperature relative to a long-term average.
Red stripes are years that were hotter than average; blue stripes are years that were cooler.
The strong red shift shows rapid warming in each city and across the globe.
