Republicans keep saying you have to put Trump’s “bloodbath” comment in “context.” Here’s the context:

He opened his speech by saluting & playing the J6 anthem.

He called for releasing violent seditionists.

He called for mass detention camps.

He said immigrants are “animals.”

The world is not strange because Trump is amoral, dishonest, and a thief. It's strange because a large portion of the population that follows him either doesn't believe it or believes it and doesn't care. That's what makes it strange and disheartening #politics

We live in a world that other people made and handed down to us. We can't do anything about that.

But what we *can* do is to work as hard as we can to make and hand down a better world for our children and grandchildren and others who will come after us–who still matter, even if we have no hereditary ties to them.

It should be a huge scandal that TFG is calling for the Supreme Court (a third of which he appointed) to grant the President the right to commit any crime, at any time, after, during, or before office. "Total immunity." He wants there to be a class of people totally above the law, and he wants to be part of that class, because accountability before the law is just too much for a constitutional republic to handle.
