I am so mad at myself right now.
We have an old refrigerator in the garage which we use for extra storage. We put beer out there, and the large packs of meat/frozen veggies/microwave stuff.
Apparently, a screw came loose in the handle. When I grabbed something out of it yesterday, the screw stopped the door from closing all the way.
Everything was near room temp. 5lbs of ground beef, 3 packs of chicken breast, pork, steaks, veggies, fruits, you name it.
Just... Frick.

@FreedomATX a multi-day power outage several years ago caused the loss of many pounds of meat and other stuff in the chest freezer in addition to the fridge. TIL that homeowners insurance would cover it. not the same but could be worth a call depending on the deductible
