@misslovelymess I'm not sure where you are, but yikes!
@gemswinc I'm in Northeast PA, just slightly south of the Poconos. It's been wild.
It really has! We've been smelling smoke every day! Our air purifiers are working overtime! Very scary to see what's happening. Long Island has been getting hit pretty hard. It was never like that before. Yet I remember when the Pine Barrens went on fire!
@Spagesgallo1 I remember the Pine Barren's fire too. It is scary!
@Spagesgallo1 And now there are more houses and more dead trees
I know! They are building like crazy in Suffolk County. And they continue to build in Nassau County as well! As for the dead trees, perfect timber for the fires! They just cut down 26 trees in our complex. They were all dead due to a fungus. The trees were mainly in front of the buildings!
Yes! That was some pretty scary shit. I remember the fires jumped the road and set the other side on fire! Please stay safe. Hopefully the rain that is coming will help calm things down!
@Spagesgallo1 I remember that, I was stuck with a friend on Sunrise Highway, we were coming back from out east
What??? OMG! How absolutely frightening! Even though it happened decades ago. It still feels like it happened only yesterday.
Has your area been impacted by the wildfires? I know Medford has.
@Spagesgallo1 No, not yet. π€
Thank goodness! Let's keep it that way! π
@Spagesgallo1 Raining now!

@peterquirk @gemswinc @Spagesgallo1
Yep, I've never seen these many fires nor this big a size east of the Mississippi River.
@Bliss Thanks for the map @peterquirk @Spagesgallo1

@gemswinc It's been fire country around here. We've had so many wildfires and brush fires. It's crazy.
