This one's got a tight grip on me today. Between the song and its visual presentation, I couldn't *not* share this haunting gem.

For your consideration, from the Preservation Hall Jazz Band's YouTube playlist: St. James Infirmary

This storm is losing steam, so Baxter County is not under a tornado warning, rather a severe thunderstorm warning until 4 a.m.

Western counties being dropped from the warning as this storm is moving through quickly, 45-50 mph.

Tornado warning in the Twin Lakes area, heading towards Baxter County. Awaiting NWS inclusion in the watch corridor.

Good grief. Current radar looks like Springield MO is getting the snot smacked out of it. 😬

Just saw this video and it's funny, but I like the way she ended it.

March 29 is Manatee Appreciation Day. And honestly, who among us has not been guilty of taking manatees for granted?

@kel In the darkest nights and the fiercest storms, we have always emerged, battered but unbroken. We carry the scars of our battles, reminders of the challenges we've faced and conquered. Every tear shed, every obstacle overcome, has only made us stronger. We stand tall, a testament to our resilience and tenacity. Through the heartache and the struggles, we have endured and thrived. Our past may be marked by pain and disappointment, but it is also a story of triumph and perseverance. As we face the uncertainties of tomorrow, let us remember that we have survived 100% of our bad days. We are warriors, survivors, champions of our own destinies. No matter what comes our way, we will rise again, stronger than before.

@fugitive247 That is great! 🙂
I remember an old fellow with 50 years! Unfathomable to me! He would always tell us newcomers what he was told when he came in "Stick with the winners!" Can't go wrong with that one! 😀

And no, I didn't buy it. Adulting on disability benefits is expensive AF. New $350 Rx lenses to be used in my current frames takes priority. Whatever. Not complaining; this is simply life on life's terms.

Meanwhile in , the Twin Lakes area Corp of Engineers has been scrambling to be prepared as possible for the inevitable influx of Eclipse tourists. At present, all state operated campgrounds are booked solid for the event.

Yours truly is opting to fall back on decades' worth of blizzard and hurricane experience: stock up, hunker down, and shelter in place. Screw the idiot convention. Pandemic gentrification already borked the balance years ago
