We're trying to source a generator. Temps this week will be in the 90s. A/C and fridge are our priorities as we have pets. Hus managed to catch covid at work, so he's struggling with it all. 😔
Neighbors stepped up and got our downed tree taken care of. Meanwhile, I and other neighbors cleaned up an elderly neighbor's yard.

#HurricaneBeryl took my power, part of my fence, and my tree. But House is whole. We are whole. Gonna be miserable for awhile. My neighborhood is wrecked. Trees down everywhere. Trees on cars. Trees on houses.
Memorial garden my husband is building in remembrance of his sister was spared.
Cell service is bad. Had to drive to a different area to give this update.

Yup, same deal here. Lots of seniors, disabled, and other high-risk citizens. Everybody's SS benefits dropped yesterday; everyone was shopping. This on the heels of last weekend's annual Red, White, and Blue festival on the ASUMH campus.
Sick of all this BS. The pandemic isn't over--it's been hanging out in the parking lot doing push-ups.
