So, one of my good neighbors has Covid. She's as old as I am but stubborn as an ox. She hadn't boostered 'in a while' because 'she forgot'. She also doesn't mask. She told me (on the phone) that she's been sick for 6 days and just today took an at home test. I asked about Paxlovid, she says she's just taking extra vitamins. Why are people such stubborn idiots?
I just canceled my 4th gathering out of an abundance of caution.
Also went to the grocery before my neighbors called and I was the only one with a mask on. 😷
It's not gone, it's not over.
Yup, same deal here. Lots of seniors, disabled, and other high-risk citizens. Everybody's SS benefits dropped yesterday; everyone was shopping. This on the heels of last weekend's annual Red, White, and Blue festival on the ASUMH campus.
Sick of all this BS. The pandemic isn't over--it's been hanging out in the parking lot doing push-ups.
To both of you as well. 🕊️
