On a slightly more serious note, I was about to whine about today's physical challenge. Arthritic thumb particularly bad; try doing *everything* with your non-dominant hand because you can't grasp anything.
Then I realized how whiny that is; I am mostly healthy and this minor inconvenience for a day or so is nothing compared to what some are going through. It still hurts like a mofo but get over it, me!

Ooh. Not fun. Lots of good suggestions so far, though. Hopefully you'll get relief and recoup dexterity. If after a while you find that you need medical attention, you might want to ask your doc about cortisone injections. Sure, sounds daunting, but really they're not. I've been getting them at six-week intervals for a little over a year now. Thumb strength is slightly diminished, but it's worth it to have use restored without the constant pain.

@fugitive247 Thanks! I have talked to doc about cortisone injections when my spinal arthritis gets bad.
She encourages me to wait a bit and see if I can work through it and so far I can. My thumb gets irritated at times, and I usually get good relief with Voltaren. Today was unusual! But yes, a lot of great suggestions including yours. Thanks for caring!
