• Thus they passed, on a party-line vote, a $1.9 trillion pandemic-relief bill that wasn’t really needed, fueling the highest inflation in decades.

Um, no. That isn’t what happened. Inflation was on the rise PRIOR to the bill. In fact, it started coming down AFTER the bill was passed.

History. WSJ slept during it.

"What an irony that on the same day an older woman goes to court to face the consequences of a rape culture, a rapist is voted into the highest office of the land in another country.

When Gisèle decided that 'shame must change sides' and asked for the trial to be held in public, she transformed her pain into something powerful which provided opportunities for us to talk about how sexism and misogyny feed into rape culture."

Bernie Sanders: "It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them. First, it was the white working class, and now it is Latino and Black workers as well."

Really, oh sage?

How? How does the smallest unemployment in over 50 years translate to “forgetting the working class?”

Is your argument that Trump was better?

Classical blame the victim.

“The entry-level M4 Mac mini, with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, is $599. Boosting that to 32GB RAM and 512GB SSD is an additional $600”

$1199. Okay, I’m missing something. Samsung’s top of the line PHONE costs $1119 and it’s just a phone with anemic speed.

This writer is just sad.

There are two America’s—the insanely rich and the rest of us.

To the rich, what we consider expensive is nothing. A $500 meal? $5.

Stewart, in my hypothetical, makes about $40 PER MINUTE. A five minute poop? He makes $200 bucks. The $50K worker? 40 CENTS.

Yet we are held to a different standard. Our boss and bosses boss want us in and out of the toilet fast. Because it cost the company FORTY FUCKING CENTS.

There are two Americas.

And you are getting screwed by the rich one.

Let’s pick on Jon Stewart. Imagine he makes $5 million a year (he makes more, but this makes the math easier). To HIM it’s like a lb of ground beef costs a nickel (assuming you make about $50,000 a year).

That gives you a rough idea how cushy his life is.

Let’s put it in perspective: a basic model 3 would take ALL of your yearly salary. For Stewart? It’s feels like about $500 bucks. That’s why the rich have iPhones without protection: they cost practically nothing!

This goes for the press and some specific comedians who have attempted to poopoo their involvement.

Don’t let them weasel out: they are just as complicit. When (or if) we ever get out of this nightmare, they need to be held responsible.

We need Truth and Reconciliation.

My father watched as we defeated the Nazi’s.

Now we elected one as President.

And the media cheered him on.

Please do not underestimate thr power of the Press. The Founding Fathers KNEW it was powerful and called it the Fourth Estare for a reason.

Ben Franklin KNEW the power of the press and smuggled on into France to print pro-US literature.

We would call that “propaganda” today.

Anyone who says the press didn’t affect the election is a liar and needs to read some history.

Trump promised people would be rich like himself. That all they had to do was believe in him.

The problem with this story? Trump was given almost have a BILLION dollars. His father had deep pockets. The majority of Americans will never see $100 million in their lifetime, much less $400 million.

Trump lived a VERY privileged life. He has zero in common with the majority of Americans.

Yet here we are.

Someone he kept secrets about his meetings with our enemy, Putin.

This is insane.

AMC has a series titled Monsieur Spade and it is a Sam Spade in 1950’s France.

OMG it is sooooo good. The writing is sumptuous, the acting is true and the mystery is mysterious.

We’re loving every minute.

👍👍

Them: You know, Democrats lost because they ran a bad candidate.

Me: No. She was an excellent candidate. Trump is a convicted criminal, rapist and liar. He stole government documents. He is a racist, sexist and probably a pedophile. He is a conman and grifter. He is quite literally the worst candidate in the history of Americans running for President.

I’m sorry if you think Harris is an awful candidate but Jesus Christ wasn’t available.

When prices go up because of Tarifs, do not blame Biden. When newspapers are shut down by the DOJ, don't blame Biden. When forest fires are left to destroy whole states with no assistance from the Fed, don't blame Biden.

Blame yourself!

“What did you do in the race war, Daddy?”

“I gave cover for a Nazi and racist who pretended to give oral sex to a microphone while saying the Democrats were just as bad as the convicted criminal.”

“Were they?”

“Hell, no. But it made me rich.”

When the 0.05% try to assure US, the actual majority, “don’t give up hope, I can still run to Canada and avoid this clusterfuck.”

‘Jon Stewart concluded his live coverage of the election by encouraging viewers to remain hopeful, even in the face of a potential Donald Trump presidency.’

Stewart LITERALLY told us he was on the of the racist comic.

But we shouldn’t give up hope? We’ll be in thr camps while he is crossing the border.

Fuck him.

Fuck all collaborators.

Here is a basic economic problem: Trump and Co are too stupid about basic economics.

I mean REALLY stupid.

Think double digit inflation stupid. Think printing money stupid. Think letting the dollar become near worthless stupid.

The rich seldom suffer stupidity.

The rest of us always do.

The people to blame are those who AGAIN normalized Trump.

All the news media.

All the comedians.

All of the assholes that equates the Democrats with the Republicans.

No, the two parties are not the same.

I can prove that with something y’all don’t believe in: history.

You had all the information. It was literally at your fingertips.

But instead y’all used it to view porn and YouTube videos.

You intentionally LIMITED your world view. You listened to what BILLIONAIRES told you.

History will be repeated by those who slept in class.

Right now I feel just like I did when the diagnosis for my cancer came back.

Numb.

I am empty. No rage. No anger. No frustration. Not even a sense of sadness.

Just a vast chasm where my soul should be.

I am a vacuum where not even a molecule of emotion resides.

I function on muscle memory. I post but the the anger, blame, the sadness is a façade. The actual me is gone.

I want to believe there is a future with me in it but I feel like the days I was on chemo.

Blank.

By the end of next year, Handmaids Tale will look too optimistic.

We’ll have to start growing our own veggies.
