Unfortunately, attempts are actively made on multiple fronts to discourage and impede collective consumer action since it's viewed as "detrimental for the economy" (BS) because it reduces profit margins.

Nevermind how market theory tells us the true ideal (perfect competition) would naturally push margins down as low as feasible - razor-thin across the board...

It's almost like our economy is unhealthy, unsustainable, & extractive.
