Oh, and followers may also come from being interested in the same things, which you show and find by using hashtags. Not massive variances of the same tag: please don't tag Writing, Writer, CoSoWriters, Author, CoSoAuthor & four other variances. Just pick concise ones, sticking to the ones you find most other ppl using.
Search for tags to get an idea how common they are, and consider the most popular ones: https://help.counter.social/en/latest/popular-hashtags.html

The point of CoSo isn't amassing followers. There's no point because we don't have algorithms or monetization. Follow ppl you're interested in. You'll gain followers by being worth paying attention to, so post things that are interesting to others.
We aren't twitter, we aren't instagram or facebook, just be a person, not a brand.

Twitter's big accounts:
#FLASHLOL - Within the last few minutes Twitter is no longer allowing posts that contain links to https://counter.social in them. And get this - is flagging them as 'potentially harmful' - that's some fucked up shit. Bordering on slanderous misinformation.

@th3j35t3r what about a effElon emoji?
On Wednesday, the House passed a bill that would remove a statue on display at the U.S. Capitol which depicts Supreme Court Chief Justice Roger Taney.
Taney was behind the 1857 Dred Scott decision, which justified slavery and also categorically denied Black Americans’ citizenship.
The initiative was first introduced by House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and Rep. David Trone back in March 2020. The bill was passed by the Senate unanimously last week.
I've been goofing around here for a few months, but ...
Just started the shut down of my Twitter today.
