The article actually goes to make your point quite well. Should we be bringing back extinct species? What are we going to do to thee ecosystem? The ethical considerations of de extinction are legion.

Maybe it’s me but shouldn’t we work in reverse order of extinction? You know start with the stuff that humanity has offed like the Dodo before something that humans haven’t crossed paths with in thousands of years.
If “life finds a way” and something runs rampant, can you imagine heard of Mammoths roaming the world and trampling homes/cars/etc…. I’ve never seen a fossil of one in person but am sure they’re called mammoths for a reason
