Have any Democrats made a statement about GOP/Iran stealing Carter's reelection?
@JLong - The Dems' messaging has been awful for a long time. They make the McConnell crowd look like the Harlem Globetrotters.
@esaeger Everytime they get gold dropped in their lap they screw it up. This is the biggest told-ya-so ever and apparently its radio silence on the left. You're right, we're always the Washington Generals in the message game.
@RazzleDK1 @JLong - They need to reboot the party, go back to the days of unions, consumer rights and whatnot. They hate to hear it, and it's not Hillary's fault, but Bill's neoliberal "New Democrats" have been a disaster. Just horrible. They simply cannot beat the GOP in the predatory, anti-worker, anti-regulatory "free market" game. It's not in the party's DNA, it just isn't.
@RazzleDK1 @JLong - They do that with all the nationalist/racist dog-whistling. Those voters want someone to hate, someone to blame for all their misery; the elite don't want those people to see that they're the ones they should be fighting, with national strikes and such. When things are this bad for working people, they sort of glitch out and blame blacks, immigrants, women's rights, etc. because it's easy and fast.
@esaeger @JLong And yet the 'anti-worker' GOP has managed to convince a good-sized portion of blue collar labor to vote against their own economic self-interest.
