Just spent six hours cloning a hard drive (twice) because the existing one was giving "SMART: FAILURE IMMINENT!" errors. Cloned once, wouldn't boot on replacement (old stock from my "drive cabinet") so cloned again.

Now I realize the *REPLACEMENT* drive is worse than the existing one. After second clone, it's booting, but making *REALLY* funky noises, and booting *REALLY* slow. (unplugged original this time, to realize sound is *REPLACEMENT*)

Back to the drive cabinet for another…
