HOLY CRAP TEENAGERS ARE EXPENSIVE TO GET CAR INSURANCE!
I mean, I knew it would go up by "a lot" - but it just went from $350/6mo to $2100/6mo!
@ehurtley way back in 1972, when I turned 16 and could get a drivers license, my dad would not sign for me to get a driver's license because of insurance rates. Did the same to my kids. You want to drive? You pay the insurance.

@floryloughead Yeah, when I was a teenager, my dad had been..... Let's just say "a bad driver" for a while, and had *RIDICULOUS* insurance prices. He was so high-risk, that the moment I turned 15, they started charging for me, assuming that I would start driving immediately and badly.
So since they had to pay for me added on anyway, I got to get it ASAP.
