(Up here in Portland was the reverse - it was almost as bad as the "today" photo in Portland yesterday, and crystal clear today.)
I'm in Eugene...orange skies and dim enough to be twilight at 3 pm. Hiding out inside with windows shut and ductless heat pump filtering the air with its hepa filters.

THIS IS THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY! There are no "clouds", this is 100% wildfire smoke.
