Rare praise for Scotland's eduction system
Scotland's curriculum focuses on capabilities not facts

Scotland, unlike England, does not have a National Curriculum that lays down exactly what pupils should study in each subject at every stage. Scotland’s Curriculum for Excellence directs schools and teachers to focus on developing capabilities.

The IC is confident that the Iranians have through social engineering and other efforts sought access to individuals with direct access to the Presidential campaigns of both political parties. Such activity, including thefts and disclosures, are intended to influence the U.S. election process."
Iran hacked Trump campaign, US intelligence confirms
We have observed increasingly aggressive Iranian activity during this election cycle, specifically involving influence operations targeting the American public and cyber operations targeting Presidential campaigns. Scotland's drug deaths still worst in Europe after 12% rise

The figures, however, are the second lowest number of drug misuse deaths since 2017.

These substances are produced on a large-scale by chemical companies based in China and then shipped, as bulk powders, to Europe by air or sea. Once in Europe, the synthetic cannabinoids are mixed with (or sprayed onto) plant material using solvents such as acetone or methanol to dissolve the powders. The combination is then dried, packaged and sold as either incense or smoking mixtures.
JWH-018 is now a controlled substance in many countries under narcotics legislation
History
2008, the first synthetic cannabinoid – which reacts with the body in the same way as cannabis – was identified on the recreational drug market. JWH-018 was an aminoalklindole originally developed by John Huffman of Clemson University in the US and sold under the brand name: Spice.

Research suggests that Spice and other forms of synthetic cannabis are capable of producing much more intense and prolonged effects at much lower doses than natural cannabis. This is because, while the THC in natural cannabis only partially reacts with the body, synthetic cannabis reacts far more fully

More here:
Spice is a nickname for a substance containing one or more synthetic cannabinoids.
And the side effects mentioned on this sites aren't an exaggeration - these drugs are that dangerous the side affects are very real and documented
@stueytheround nope it sure ain't pretty

marketed as herbal incense, or "herbal smoking blends", and sold under common names like K2, spice, and synthetic marijuana They are often labeled "not for human consumption" for liability defense. A large and complex variety of synthetic cannabinoids are designed in an attempt to avoid legal restrictions on cannabis, making synthetic cannabinoids designer drugs.
Counterfeit cannabis-liquid (c-liquid) for e-cigarettes: Synthetic cannabinoids are increasingly offered in e-cigarette form as "c-liquid". Several schoolchildren in Manchester collapsed after vaping synthetic cannabinoids mis-sold as THC e-liquid

Kids are becoming addicted to drugs by smoking "spice" in vapes
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cx92z0452jgo
Spice is cheaper than cannabis and kids are using vapes as a method of smoking it - some start of smoking spice then move onto harder drugs - spice itself is far more dangerous and addictive than normal cannabis hence why spice can be a gateway to harder drugs for some

Security experts also believe a second flaw (CVE-2024-38178) is being used by North Korean APT groups to target victims in South Korea.

Gen, which is a rollup of consumer brands Norton, Avast, LifeLock and Avira, posted a sparse note linking the exploitation to Lazarus via the use of the FudModule rootkit
https://www.gendigital.com/blog/news/innovation/protecting-windows-users
Avast previously documented FudModule as part of the Lazarus APT toolkit that included an admin-to-kernel Windows zero-day exploit dating back to February.
Security researchers at Gen Threat Labs are linking one of the exploited zero-days patched by Microsoft last week to North Korea’s Lazarus APT group.
The vulnerability, tracked as CVE-2024-38193 and marked as ‘actively exploited’ by Microsoft, allows SYSTEM privileges on the latest Windows operating systems.
