Turn Any Device Into a Chromecast

You just need the CastReceiver app.

The app isn't perfect, though as it lacks a valid "cast key," it can't stream DRM-protected content from sources like Netflix or Prime Video. Also, a device running CastReciever must be unlocked before it can be used as a Chromecast target. And if you want to cast to a device for more than five minutes, you need to pay (App is free, but the full functionality is tucked behind an in-app purchase.)

Postlight Reader clears the clutter (and often, the paywall) from any website.

(been using this for a while now it's pretty good)

You can simply activate the Postlight Reader extension any time you see a paywall to instantly strip the paywall from just about any news site(works with mostly all pawalls but not all)

install on chrome, or chromium based browsers, and firefox

has accidentally revealed an internal 'StagingTool' utility that can be used to enable hidden features, or Moments, in Windows 11.

To use StagingTool, you will need administrative privileges, so the tool needs to be run from an elevated command prompt in a console, such as the Command Prompt or Windows Terminal.

pro tip

if you use android and need to upload a video but it won't upload due to size try using a compressor app

there are loads of apps on play store I'd recommend

play store: panda app

/nosanitize

play.google.com/store/apps/det

or

FFShare(via F-Droid)

github.com/caydey/ffshare

both will allow size of video file to be compressed into a smaller size then try uploading

Executing Python scripts on laptops should be straightforward as long as Python is installed, but users of mobile devices will have to go the extra mile to source specific interpreters and emulators.

entering

data:text/html, <html contenteditable>

in your Chrome's address bar you'll be presented with an editable page just like Notepad and TextEdit. You can even save the document (as an HTML page) by hitting Ctrl + S.

It's worth bookmarking the link—although it's basic it will work 100 percent of the time, giving you a fail-safe option in an emergency.

😆

thing is the subscription i had was already an offer which was £1 for three months they 3mths are up next week

so if i rejoin i'll be getting 6mths for £1 per-mth

always say never stay with any streaming service long-term cancel and wait they usually email you with discounts for 1mth upwards it's worth it

i was a big fan of that extension myself

I don't care about cookies Alternatives

(my pick is "I still don't care about cookies" which is an actual fork of the original "i don't care about cookies")
