1920's White Castle number 4, Wichita, Kansas. Look at that price!

@duglop 1925 0.05 adjusted for inflation is 0.88; 0.16 more than a White Castle single today.

@CanisPundit that's funny, last White Castle I went to a slider was $0.77 - I'm no mathmatician but $0.05 looks a lot less than $0.77

@CanisPundit Dude, wtf? This isn't s comparisonof inflation - this is an old photo from 1920 showing the base price BACK THEN! What's your deal?

@duglop it is money, and inflation is a real variable. Pardon my accuracy. It’s not a pound of feathers compared to a pound of rocks.

@CanisPundit holy shit, so you had to dissect what was supposed to be just a fun non political toot

@duglop you’re the only person person here who’s had a negative reaction to my responding to their reflecting on a price post with information about inflation. Sometimes it leads to an interesting exchange about other similar curiosities such as whether certain items perceived as investments really serve that purpose or other tidbit. But not you. So I’m jumping on the unfollow trend so I don’t accidentally darken your timeline again.
